These strips can be overlaid, like shingles on a roof, to form the electrical connections. The strips of solar cells are joined together using an electrically conductive adhesive (ECA) that allows for conductivity and flexibility. This allows the cells to be connected differently to conventional panneaux solaires, in that, there are no busbars (ribbons) required and the solar cells can be joined together resulting in no gaps between the solar cells. Shingled solar modules can also be wired differently to conventional panneaux solaires. Typically, solar cells in conventional panneaux solaires are wired in a series of strings whereas the solar cells in shingled panels can be wired in parallel configuration. What are the advantages of shingled panneaux solaires? Essentially the three key advantages of the shingled panneau solaire design are they produce more power, improve reliability and are aesthetically pleasing. 1. Increased energy harvest Higher power per square metre The shingled solar cells do not require busbars across the top of the cells so more of the solar cells are exposed to sunlight. The cells do not need to be spaced apart like in conventional panneaux solaires so the panneau solaire area can produce more energy Outdoor shade testing over a 70-day period has shown that the Solaria Power XT shingle panneau solaire performs between 37 to 45% better than conventional panneau solaire designs. 2. Better reliability Low busbar failures Shingle panneaux solaires do away with approximately 30 metres of busbar and soldered joints that is required on conventional panneaux solaires, so busbar failures are reduced. Better mechanical performance Static and dynamic load tests show that the shingle approach is more resistant to failure due to external forces being applied to the panneau solaire compared to conventional panneaux solaires. 3. More attractive Shingled panneaux solaires have no visible circuitry which give them clean simple look providing superior street appeal. As panneau solaire technology continues to mature, shingled modules represent the current state-of-the-art in terms performance, reliability and aesthetics.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"MONSREMORQUE","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":45803900403781,"sku":"GSPD-170","price":123700.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0757\/1973\/7413\/files\/Solar-Panel-170W-Rugid_-VOC-27.95V-1270x660x30mm-Power-Science-1647486079.jpg?v=1789935339","url":"https:\/\/monsremorque.com\/products\/solar-panel-170w-rugid-voc-27-95v-1270x660x30mm","provider":"MONSREMORQUE","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
